DPO as a Service

Under the GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018, there are occasions when an organisation must employ a Data Protection Officer (DPO).

This person must be a GDPR expert and able to operate independently from the operations of the business. Larger organisations can afford this, whilst smaller organisations may be able to hire a DPO but find the cost of the required training and associated tools to be prohibitive. You can even share the role with someone's job, but that brings challenges, especially if they are drawn to their DPO responsibilities from their "day job".

Athene Secure offers a DPO as a Service where your organisation pays a one hour-per-month retainer, which means that we deal with the ICO on your behalf and advise you on anything you may need to consider.

In the unfortunate circumstance that you suffer a data breach, you can then call on our services at the appropriate rate and only use as much - or as little - time as you need to remedy the situation.
